History: Born in the east to a Shoemaker, Lance learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Lance was born on a far eastern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Shoemaker. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.
History: Oolah hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Neega was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: This tall, slender man wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. His blue crest is thinning but still full. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.
Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.
History: Shamash lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
