History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When Skak reached his early adolescence his Half-Orc father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She keeps her blonde hair in a pixie cut. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep hazel.

Personality: She is fixated on the number 52. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. She has a habit of throwing herself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Sailor work with an outfit from a few towns over. Sailor work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She now owns her own business.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bucklal embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Born in the east to a Fletcher, Bucklal learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. While he appears to be a normal Halfling, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Stableman for hire.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
