History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Ortegar and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Painter arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: To be a Spice Merchant again; and balancing her hectic life and new painter responsibilities is difficult

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Sellsword. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.
