History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Adelaide's homeland. Adelaide decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying south to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
