He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Kilvar took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up hand crossbow and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. Dorn is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He found a children's book about a Half-Orc Druid who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Horza was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Map Maker and was forced into it by his family.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She is an amazing painter.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
