History: Born in the north to a Cartwright, Skak learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Kansif hails from a village terrorized by illithids. She found a children's book about a Half-Orc Druid who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
