One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He got into the Barrister business at a young age. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He tends to his Barrister job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
