History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He's also a talented Shoemaker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Born in the east to a Butcher, Delebean learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Butcher. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Butcher for hire.

Motivation: Expand his business; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When Heather reached her early adolescence her Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions.
