History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Alain grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She found a children's book about a Halfling Druid who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
