Description: A middle-aged man, he tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look, and is pretty ugly. His hair is short and silver. His hazel eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. Varis enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Varis was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He worked as a nervous Doctor and found it very stressful. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Varis was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He tends to his Ruler job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Dwarf, and stands approximately 4'1". He wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with brown lining and desert motifs, and his gloved hand is found clutching a hand crossbow. He is bald on top and has large chestnut tufts of hair around his ears. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Harbek embodies much of what other species detest in the Dwarves. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Harbek was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student he started as a Ruler, but he got bored and became a Unemployed. He has worked as a Unemployed like his father before him.

Description: This woman stands a little under 5'9" and is a bit bulky. She is very muscular particularly in the legs. She wears a yellow vest and prefers blue and tan shirts. Her boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. She is bald on top and has large red tufts of hair around her ears. Her face is scarred and worn.

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

Motivation: She is greedy.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

Personality: Gennal wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Wizard, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Gennal was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He moved out north to avoid the crime he committed. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Theren fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: The child of a Doctor, who enjoyed hunting, Hatae was taken on many hunting expeditions. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Hatae alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
