History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She became a Gardener soon after.

History: River hails from a village terrorized by drow. Her parents were killed by drow in a raid when she was still a young child. The drow captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing.
