Pennie was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Pennie was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the orcs.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
