History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Volen speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her father. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Volen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Volen was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the brigands.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Mercenary father left him crippled. He now mingles about in high society.
