History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Katherine was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. History: She comes from a rich northern family. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Spy they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Navigator, and she later adopted a second daughter.
