He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Sellsword. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She was taken from her home at a very young age. After a long history of fighting, Nora and her spouse have recently divorced.
