Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing painting.

History: Dagnal hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Dagnal grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Dagnal. She has never given up on her painting dream.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Lezre was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
