He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying west to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Bardryn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Bardryn was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Bardryn decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with.
