History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She is quiet and unassuming. She ignores others and carries on with her job unassumingly. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Emerald was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

Personality: Prone to second guessing herself, she comes off as nervous. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the west were limited. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
