History: Oppleby hails from a village terrorized by giants. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Oppleby grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Oppleby. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Oppleby was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. At some point she was captured by orcs and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. She now mingles about in high society.
