Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Melissa abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Pearl was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.
