History: Jacoba hails from a village terrorized by brigands. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Jacoba alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She now mingles about in high society.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Nija took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up kukri and armor she uses now. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
