History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she has decided she is irredeemable

History: He was born in the west. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He became a Shepherd soon after.

Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: To settle down with his crush; and he has a crush on the local bricklayer
