However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

History: Avelina was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
