History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he wants revenge against goblins

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. At some point she was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Balimaar was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: This woman loves music and to teach people music more than just about anything. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing music.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His childhood dream was to be a Adventurer, but he was a colossal failure. He has achieved small success as a Blacksmith.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Half-Elven artifacts is his passion; and he is greedy

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. Energy wise she seems alert and responsive.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Server hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
