History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Pearl was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She worked as a nervous Stableman and found it very stressful. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and she wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Burana and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Gargax speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Body Guard arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
