History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He tends to his Bookbinder job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Nyx isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Gnomish unity. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Laucian was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Laucian's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: He is fixated on the number 45. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Direcris fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: She will rave to anyone who will listen. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. As of late she has set up a hidden staging nest where she ambushes people she hires for escort.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 3 years.
