He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Mormo and his spouse have recently divorced.

In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

Theriatis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
