Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). His blonde hair is cut short. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his gray eyes.
Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Varis will drive conversation. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.
History: He was born in the east. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Description: This tall, slender woman usually wears her white robe and has her rapier always slung over her shoulder. With bright golden hair. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.
Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.
History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Gynk was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Gynk decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.
Motivation: She possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and she will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact
