When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Aristocrat in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. During her travels, Urshar and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Urshar discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves.
