History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. A true patriot, Mugrunden would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, drow burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Pelt hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He became a Shipwright soon after.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Through the years after Bryseis was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Bryseis's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
