History: Volen was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Beggar. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Healer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. While he appears to be a normal Half-Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He now mingles about in high society.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He is a Metallic Dragon in disguise. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Urshar was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Her childhood dream was to be a Masseuse, but she was a colossal failure. She has achieved small success as a Tanner.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: He was born in a small island village. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: To unite with his brother.

History: She was born in the south. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Merla grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Merla. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
