Smoking's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Layabout they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Butcher, and she later adopted a second son.

She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Shoemaker for the past few years.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He worked as a nervous Tanner and found it very stressful. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
