His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Chay never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: Egelina is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Through the years after Egelina was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Egelina's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She became a Dilettante soon after.

History: He got into the Shipwright business at a young age. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: She was born in the east. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She struck the Servant job and began her own company from there.

Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Assassin. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
