Personality: Paelias is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He works hard and plays hard.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. After a long history of fighting, Ahvain and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is obsessed with his god.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
