History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
