Pearl grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Pearl. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her arcane abilities were realized during a raid on her village. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Doctor, and she later adopted a second daughter.
