Through the years after Patrick was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Patrick's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: He was born in a small plains village. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Aust's homeland. Aust decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. As she has aged she has sought to do reparations for her actions as a youth. She is also making sure that her compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Nikki grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nikki. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
