History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and his religion dominates his actions

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She now mingles about in high society.
