History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gifted student he started as a Tanner, but he got bored and became a Blacksmith. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To be a Tanner again; and wants to open a new tavern

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: She thrives on attention. She does whatever is in her power to gain the attention of whomever she deems a fit date. She is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and she uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs

History: She was born into a rich family. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she feels kind of lost in life

His red hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He has a dull look in his blue eyes.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Born to a Engraver, his mother struggled to pay the bills. While he appears to be a normal Half-Elf, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
