History: The child of a Fortune-teller, who enjoyed hunting, Ranala was taken on many hunting expeditions. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Ranala took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up hand crossbow and armor she uses now. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Balam grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Balam abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
