History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Volen was a troubled youth. History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Pandjed was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared.
