History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Anne grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Anne. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Bhevek was born with his mother's beautiful face. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He found a children's book about a Half-Orc Ranger who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Wella embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. After a long history of fighting, Wella and her spouse have recently divorced.
