Description: This slender man stands about 6'5". He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty black coat over it. His gold crest is lengthy and is close to two feet long. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.
Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.
History: Shamash was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. While he appears to be a normal Dragonborn, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Description: He has a missing left leg. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty white coat over it. He has a long auburn beard with little hanging trinkets. He tend to wears goggles to shield his eyes.
Personality: He is a Farmer first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.
History: He was raised in a plains tribe. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Fargas took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up pickaxe and armor he uses now. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Farmer responsibilities is difficult.

History: Barbena lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now owns her own business.

Description: Runty and weak-looking, she is dressed in a clean blue cloak covering her clean studded leather. She has a very tight haircut. She wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into her face.
Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.
History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Faral was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Dragonborn people; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he wears suspenders and green workpants. His shirt is yellow, and he wears a heavy green leather apron most of the time. His red hair is thinning but still full. This red eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends
History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off his debts

Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.
Personality: She is envious of other's things. She hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that she so desires. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.
History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Nurkara was born on a far western forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Guard. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.

Personality: She hates drow. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.
History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Whurdred was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
