One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Quarethon and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Elizabeth wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Elizabeth was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.

Motivation: She wants revenge against brigands; and someone believes her a fraud

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her psionic abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
