History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A gifted student he started as a Architect, but he got bored and became a Banker. He became a Banker soon after.

History: She was born in a small plains village. She worked as a nervous Bookbinder and found it very stressful. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: Doudra was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Detective. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Beggar. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Helgret was born on a far southern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Bellfounder. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She is cool and collected. She likes to make quips and puns whenever she does anything. She also makes a point to compliment her superiors and flatter them. Quick enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Ratlûg will drive conversation. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bookbinder and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
