History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Salasar never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: She was born in the east. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Kadana grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kadana. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
