Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed ceremonial dagger, just in case. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. With a patchy chestnut beard and wild chestnut hair. He is baby faced.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Varis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Jane was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Tiefling companion (her 'brother'). She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. As of late she has set up a hidden staging nest where she ambushes people she hires for escort.
