Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Gnomes in Veloptima's homeland. Veloptima decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She bought a longsword and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and wants to work out more often

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Nutae was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Carter, but he got bored and became a Miner. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miner.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. Purban is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Nemeia lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She moved out west to avoid the crime she committed. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.
