Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, he put together a working one.

Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by goblins. Quelenna was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the goblins.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Servant they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Dyer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sellsword hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Thiala was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.
