History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. One day when Shane was young, his mother was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly his mother dropped to the ground dead. His mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Shane was heart-stricken from the event, and his father started working long hours to provde for them. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Oda was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out

Personality: She is a Spice Merchant first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Spice Merchant.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Yevelda is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Krakhorn and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Blendaeth grew up listening to her father's many stories. Through the years after Blendaeth was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Blendaeth's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Blendaeth fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
